Argent Her Majesty The Queen’s own device (a hurt charged with the capital letter “E” ensigned by the Royal Crown, the whole encircled by a chaplet of roses leaved Or), between in dexter chief a canton of the National Flag of Canada and in sinister base the central device of the badge of the Royal Canadian Navy (a fouled anchor) ensigned by a naval coronet Azure;

The personal device of Her Majesty The Queen identifies the flag as a Queen’s Colour. The National Flag of Canada indicates the country, and the anchor and the naval coronet symbolize the Royal Canadian Navy.
