Azure a castle Argent, within the Support Group Badge Frame (An annulus Or inscribed GROUPE DE SOUTIEN • SUPPORT GROUP in letters Sable, charged in base with a torteau bordered and set with the group’s number Or, ensigned by the Royal Crown proper, environed by nine points surmounting a wreath of maple leaves Or, and above a scroll proper inscribed with the Motto in letters Sable);

Badge

Formation Patch: An escutcheon Azure charged with a castle Argent in base a torteau bordered and charged with the group’s number Or;


Symbolism

Badge

Blue is the colour of the 2nd Canadian Division. The castle and the motto are taken from the badge of the 5 Area Support Group, the predecessor unit. The three towers of the castle symbolize the support group units, located in Valcartier, Saint-Jean and Montreal.

Motto

This French phrase means “To serve with honour and perseverance”;
