Symbolism
Flag
The blue symbolizes the Arctic sky and the white, the ever-present snow across the territory. The curved white line represents an igloo, beneath which is an inuksuk, symbolizing human presence. The dandelion reflects Canada’s and Nunavut’s Francophone community: standing strong, it adapts to its environment. This symbolism is based on a variety of publicly-available sources.
