The shield represents the protective role of an Air Operations Support Technician. The propeller illustrates air maintenance support. The Royal Crown symbolizes service to the Sovereign. The frame composed of one or two wings, a laurel wreath and the Royal Crown is common to all trade and occupational badges of the Canadian Armed Forces.
