Symbolism

Arms

The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. The snake appears in other arms used by Dane families in the British Isles. The castle, found in the seal of Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, is likely an indication that Mr. Dane’s ancestor, Paul Dane, served as Provost of Enniskillen (1687-1689).

The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. The lizard and coronet are commonly found in crests used by Dane families in the British Isles.

Motto

This Latin phrase means “To the brave and faithful nothing is difficult.”
