A pomme bearing a gun sight Argent charged with a torteau, overall two Lee-Enfield rifles in saltire Or, all within the Miscellaneous Units Badge Frame;

Symbolism

Badge

Green, red and white are the Centre’s traditional colours. The rifles and the bullseye allude to its main mission as Canada’s national shooting ground and as a weapons training base for military organizations, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and other police and public safety organizations in the Ottawa region and beyond. They also indicate that the Centre is the home of the Canadian Armed Forces Small Arms Competition and of the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association's shooting competitions.

Motto

This Latin expression meaning “On target” alludes to the Centre’s mission.
