Symbolism
Badge
The arm in armour holding three maple leaves has been used as the emblem of Canada’s military colleges since the 19th century. With these colours, it was assigned as the crest of the Royal Military College Saint-Jean in 1994. The Royal Crown indicates the royal designation of the college, and the maple branches its service to Canada. The motto in both official languages is common to Canada’s military colleges.
