Gules, within a chain in orle the figure of St. Michael affronté head to the sinister holding in his dexter hand a lance-cross, point in base, and in his sinister hand a shield Or charged with a branch of hawthorn proper;

Symbolism

Arms

The Archangel Saint Michael is taken from the arms of the city of Brussels and the hawthorn branch refers both to Larbrisseau, his surname, and to the Sanctuary of Notre-Dame de Beauraing. The chain refers to the arms of Navarre and represents a link to Mr. Larbrisseau's maternal ancestry.

Crest

The lion refers to Brabant, the Belgian province of origin of Mr. Larbrisseau. The hawthorn branch repeats the symbolism in the shield.

Motto

A phrase meaning "Launch out into the deep".
