Badge
The maple leaves and the word “CANADA” represent service to Canada. The horse represents the regiment’s cavalry origins and the ducal coronet service to the Sovereign. “FIRST HUSSARS” is a form of the regimental title and “HODIE NON CRAS” is the motto of the regiment.
