Azure on a fess between in chief two sea scallops (Placopecten magellanicus) and in base a buckle Or an Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) Azure;

Issuant from a coronet Or heightened with alternating maple leaves Gules and sea scallops Or a demi Canada goose (Branta canadensis) displayed proper charged on each wing with a buckle Or;

Symbolism
Arms
For the family, the blue colour represents beauty, fidelity and perseverance. The scallops in chief symbolize pilgrimages and highlight the Mallet family’s attachment to its Saint-Malo origins, the patronymic Mallet being a hypocorism for Saint Malo who evangelized Brittany and Normandy. The Atlantic cod in fess is a reminder that this fish was both a means of subsistence and the source of prosperity for the Mallet family of Gaspé Peninsula and of Acadian New Brunswick. The gold buckle in base is an ancient type of belt buckle, which symbolizes the chivalric honour legacy of the Middle Ages.
Crest
The coronet which includes red maple leaves expresses love and the desire to serve Canada, the host country of Mallet descendants from Jean to François Mallet. The fly off position of the Canada Goose refers to the hunting sport practiced at Shippagan, a Mimac name meaning “passageway for ducks”.
Motto
MA FORCE D’EN HAUT, meaning “My strength from upon high” as well as the star on the motto scroll honour the Virgin Mary and recall the unflinching attachment of the Mallet Family to the Holly Church and the papacy.
