The colours red and gold were chosen by Dr. Koval's'kyj. Red is one of Canada's national colours, and gold is one of the colours of the Ukraine, and thus of his heritage. The chalice was chosen by Dr. Koval's'kyj, and their number represents his four daughters.
Crest
The maple seeds symbolize Dr. Koval's'kyj's service to Canada. The angel represents the special spirit of his granddaughter Jennifer Kateryna Koval's'kyj, S.C. The pigeon is a symbol of loving and caring.
