Symbolism
Arms
The blue and gold colours have been used by other Martino families, and blue and white are the colours of Dr. Martino's alma mater, the University of Toronto. The three discs represent the three Martino brothers who historically struggled against the House of Savoy, and their resemblance to coins can also represent Dr. Martino's work in electronic financial security. The three stars are features of arms used by other Martino armigers, as well as arms of the di Giulios, the family of Dr. Martino's mother. The stars also indicate energy and innovation.
Crest
The griffin is a creature that was believed to have guarded treasure, and thus refers to the role of Dr. Martino's business in providing electronic security systems. The lightning bolt is a symbol of communications, and therefore of Dr. Martino's career in the field of computer technology. The oak leaves refer to Dr. Martino's high school, De La Salle College "Oaklands" in Toronto, to the oak tree crest of the University of Toronto, and to the insignia of the Order of St. Gregory the Great, an order of the Holy See to which Dr. Martino belongs.
Motto
A Latin phrase that means "Faith, integrity, wisdom", ideas particularly valued by Dr. Martino.

The badge uses in a simple form the two main symbols of the arms and one from the crest. The four leaves represent Dr. Martino's sons.
