The griffin, half eagle, half lion, symbolizes the Wing's provision of air support to land forces. The eagle's eyes and wings are representative of the Wing's keen vision and power of flight, while the lion's body portrays its courage and strength. The colours blue and red indicate the air force and army elements of the Wing's role.
